Spas lose essential revenue due to cancelled appointments

Next generation cloud-based software company Trybe has launched a new waitlist feature to help spas and salons quickly fill treatment spaces when cancellations are made. The data they found through its innovative reporting function showed spas are missing thousands of pounds from cancelled appointments that are not filled.

Ideal for busier times of years such as Christmas, the feature enables customers to add themselves to a Waitlist with no need to call for any treatment or service they may like. The customer can just enter their name and card details, and when a space comes free they'll be automatically booked on to the session. The new feature means the reservations team doesn’t have to intervene, and the revenue from a treatment isn’t missed. The new function has been running for 6 weeks and is active currently within venues such as Lime Wood Hotel, Careys Manor Hotel and The Gallivant.

On the release of the new update, Trybe co-founder Ricky Daniels commented “Treatments are a huge part of revenue for spas and salons, so missing out on opportunities to fill spaces can be detrimental to operators’ income. Having a system in place which means customers can book themselves in takes pressure off already busy reservations teams and allows them to still keep calendars full.

The software company, which started in April 2020 has now secured 37 clients which includes Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa and Lodore Falls. Trybe has found that Spa operators are looking for smarter solutions to bookings. Already favoured for its cloud-based software which enables customers to book into live availability, the new update is just another of Trybe’s tech features this year following the launch of ‘No Show Protection’ earlier in 2022 which helps remedy the issue of last-minute cancellations.
