THALGO creates first harmonising ritual inspired by Ayurveda derived from Marmatherapy.

THALGO creates first harmonising ritual inspired by Ayurveda derived from Marmatherapy.

Thalgo has always been inspired by the sea’s vital energy to revitalise body and mind. In complete harmony with this holistic approach to beauty and well-being, Ayurveda, a traditional medicine practised in India for over 5,000 years, views the physical and mental body as indivisible and interdependent. To achieve a balanced energy state, this science “cares for” body and mind as one.

Now Thalgo in conjunction with Nordine Meguelatti, an expert in Ayurveda and the science of Marmas have created MER DES INDES, the first harmonising ritual inspired by Ayurveda derived from Marmatherapy.

Marmatherapy is a specific massage technique performed by finger pressure on the Marma points. Carried out with the thumb (the hand’s second most energetic point), this pressure stimulates the marmas to release energy blockages and reactivate the flow of Prana.

This immersive protocol invites body and mind to journey to the sacred land of India. For two hours, Marmatherapy’s rebalancing manoeuvres, beneficial Hatha Yoga stretches and meditative music therapy release points of tension and harmonise body and mind to restore calm, serenity and well-being.

The Mer des Indes Ritual is based on three areas of expertise inspired by the holistic Ayurvedic approach to restore the harmony of body and mind.

  1. Marmatherapy to unblock energy: Co-created with Nordine Meguelatti, this new harmonising ritual concentrates on the 19 main Marmas to unblock energy points and reactivate the free flow of Prana in the body.

  1. Music therapy to let go: Thomas Madrid, a renowned composer, has developed music specially for the Mer des Indes ritual, following his sensory conformation method. Specific musical frequencies, in harmony with the different steps in the treatment protocol, encourage clients to let go and offer an invitation to meditation.

  1. Yoga therapy for physical and mental well-being: Yoga is the Ayurvedic sport par excellence. “YOG” means reuniting body and mind. Stretching manoeuvres from Hatha Yoga are incorporated into the protocol to improve the flow of Prana in the body and optimise the feeling of overall harmony.

A real Indian sensory experience, this new protocol invites body and mind to switch off and let go and then rebalance their energy. Warm oil and gentle, enveloping manoeuvres combine with invigorating manoeuvres and stretches to restore total harmony of body and mind.

The Mer des Indes Ritual takes the form of five steps conducted over two hours and to prolong the harmonising and rebalancing benefits of the Mer des Indes Ritual, Thalgo has adapted its professional formulas into four Ayurvedic-inspired skincare products.

These include a Ginger Exfoliating Scrub combining seat salt & sugar; a Soothing Massage Oil enriched with sesame oil, renowned for its renourishing powers; a Moisturising Silky Balm with Indian red alga and sandalwood notes; and an Aromatic Shower Oil.
