The Spa at Breedon Priory Celebrates it First Birthday with a Luxurious New Package

Derbyshire’s contemporary new Spa at Breedon Priory is celebrating its first year since opening by launching a luxurious new spa package with some special guest treats.

Available from November until 22nd December, The Spa at Breedon Priory Anniversary Spa Day includes access to the Wellbeing suite and Thermal Pools. Guests are greeted on arrival with a welcome smoothie shot, and receive a fluffy robe, towel and gifted pair of Breedon Priory flip flops. Between drifting through the incredible facilities which look out onto the fields beyond the garden, guests can enjoy a 45minute Signature Golden Treatment, a luxe top to toe treatment for the face and body. Guests can also enjoy a 3-course lunch in The Terrace Restaurant with floor to ceiling glass windows, providing magnificent views over the spa garden and delicious food that makes the most of the seasons’ bounty and puts a spotlight on regional ingredients sourced from the finest of local suppliers. They can also indulge with a glass of prosecco and The Spa's special celebration dessert. So guests can take a souvenir of the day away with them, the package also entitles them to a £10 retail voucher to redeem against purchases over £20 in The Spa shop on the day of visit.

Located in Wilson, near the market town of Melbourne in Derbyshire, the first stage of The Spa at Breedon Priory’s opening was in November 2021, which saw the day spas spacious indoor facilities, open which include a Wellbeing Suite of six thermal experiences: experience showers, an ice fountain and cabins offering different strength heats. There is also a Pure Relaxation room where guests can watch the world go by, quiet Slumber Lounge for pure calm, and a relaxation room to enjoy post treatment.

In the Summer of 2022, the spa was fully finished with the completion of its beautiful Tranquillity gardens, which draw inspiration from its 24 acres of surrounding countryside. Features include a large Vitality pool and Infinity Relaxation pool as well as an outdoor terrace with luxurious loungers and cosy fire pit seated areas. Guests can enjoy views over the wildflower pond while watching the antics of the home reared friendly ducks.

Recognising that some people prefer more privacy in spa, the Spa created ‘The Hideaway’, an intimate area for two or a private spa for a group of four which includes exclusive treatments, a private lounge area, shower area, mini bar and a secluded enclosed terrace with hot tub, fire pit and luxurious lounger for two.

There are seven state of the art treatment rooms including one dual room where guests can enjoy a wide range of face, body and manicure/pedicure treatments from British brands: Temple Spa, Tribe517, Pinks Boutique and Proverb, all of which are seriously restorative and thoroughly feel good. Signature treatments include the deeply relaxing Tribe517 Breedon Priory Celestial Massage using warm sweet orange and honey blends and the nurturing Temple Spa Breedon Priory Soul Retreat.

Since its opening the spa has gone from strength the strength, being recognised in the local press as a ’hidden gem’ and also recognised in the spa industry as a truly beautiful and modern establishment. The Spa, privately owned by locally born Elaine and Graham Blunt, has been constructed with sustainability and the environment as one of its core principles, and is particularly mindful when it comes to water with its own water source.

On the celebration of its first birthday and the launch of the new package, owner Graham Blunt said “We have been so touched by the response of our spa since its opening, not only from local people in the community but also guests far and wide. We’re already looking at ways we can provide overnight accommodation, with the addition of lodges so we can have guests from further afar come and enjoy our spa. We hope guests love our indulgent birthday package and look forward to another successful year!”
