The Spa at Carden offers healing touch

Therapists at The Spa at Carden have completed organic cancer therapy training ahead of its opening later this year.

Cheshire’s newest luxury spa, which is part of Carden Park Hotel, will offer specialist therapies on its menu aimed at people undergoing treatment for cancer.

Its 10 fully qualified therapists undertook a three-day Cancer Touch Therapy training course run by Made For Life Organics, meaning they’re trained to work with guests who are affected by cancer, helping them achieve relaxation and building their emotional resilience.

Last month, The Spa at Carden cemented its partnership with charity Shine Bright, by welcoming three of its members to experience its specialist treatments. The Cheshire based cancer support charity helps raise awareness of Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Shine Bright member Beth Tomlinson said: “I was so relaxed afterwards, the treatment was absolutely bliss.”

The Spa at Carden is gearing up to open later in 2019. The £10 million project will feature 14 treatment rooms, indoor thermal facilities and a multi-sensory wellbeing garden.

Steve Ewing, Director of Spa at The Spa at Carden says: “Treating guests who are undergoing treatment for cancer or post-treatment has not historically been easy. We want our guests to come to us to relax and unwind at a time of need, so it is important that our expert therapist team can cater to the specific needs of each guest. Our Made for Life Organics training has enabled us to ensure that our treatments are safe and relaxing for all of our clients.”
