The Spa at South Lodge has announced its collaboration with local skincare brand, Pelegrims, to introduce a British vinotherapy skincare concept to its treatment menu.
In a partnership which began in May 2022 with Ridgeview Wine Estate, South Lodge planted vineyards, anticipating the production of sparkling wine by the English wine company in the coming years.
This collaboration with Pelegrims signifies a significant milestone for South Lodge, emphasising a commitment to incorporating natural elements into its treatments and product offerings.
Utilising raw materials from the winemaking process, such as grape skins, seeds, and stems from Ortega and Pinot Noir grape vines, formulations are crafted to enhance skin quality, imparting antioxidant properties, anti-aging benefits, and improved skin tone while reducing waste.
The British vinotherapy approach is central to the new signature treatment, the Grapevine Face and Back Glow, which combines a back scrub cleanse, detox, and mud mask for hydration with a luxurious facial for skin rejuvenation. Additional components include neck and shoulder massages and a soothing scalp massage to alleviate stress and tension.
Guests can indulge in the Di-Vine Spa Day package, featuring the Grapevine Face and Back Glow treatment paired with a glass of Ridgeview English wine, complemented by a curated menu by head chef Jonathan Spiers at South Lodge spa’s restaurant, Botanica.
The spa will also offer the South Lodge X Pelegrims shampoo, conditioner, and body wash range in its guest showers, along with the development of a natural pure grape seed oil for treatments. Ingredients such as mint and AHA fruit acids for exfoliation, English nettle root powder for anti-inflammatory properties, and South Lodge grape leaf extract infused with jasmine, lavender, and grass fragrances provide a serene spa experience. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase these exclusive products to extend their spa experience at home.
