Kandy Girls, a USA-inspired beauty spa, is aimed at children aged three to 16

A pink-themed pampering spa has opening in Kingstanding, Birmingham offering a wide range of beauty treatments, all aimed purely at children from three up to the age of 16.

Owner Rachel Powell says hers is the first kids-only spa in the UK and she has one aim: to make young girls feel like princesses. ‘The whole idea came from my daughter, Kimora, who is eight now,’ she says. ‘Kids spas have been in the United States for about two years now so they’re still relatively new over there. They’re big in Dubai as well but there’s nothing like it over here. I didn’t want it to be a nail bar or anything like that, I want it to be a spa experience for young girls.’

Kandy Girl offer manicures, pedicures and chocolate and strawberry facial scrubs. There’s a hot tub for girls aged 10 and over, and even non-alcoholic champagne!
