Vale Resort voted ‘best in Wales’

Vale Resort voted ‘best in Wales’

The Spa at the Vale Resort beat off competition from the Forum Spa at Celtic Manor and the Spa at Corran Resort to win the accolade. Votes for the World Spa Awards are cast by professionals working within the industry and members of the public.

The spa at the four-star hotel in Hensol in the Vale of Glamorgan, has 19 treatment rooms and six bespoke relaxation zones. These include the chill-out zone with leather sofas and magazines, the float zone, with water beds and water feature, and the slumber zone, with low lighting and quilts. The resort’s spa and leisure facilities also include a 20-metre pool, whirlpool bath, steam room and sauna.

The Vale Resort has partnered with Clarins, Temple Spa and Sundari – an Indian-inspired range of holistic Ayurvedic treatments.

The third annual World Spa Awards were held at the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, Vietnam and are organised by the World Travel Awards.

Stephanie Metson, marketing manager at the Vale Resort, says: “The World Travel Awards is a prestigious global brand, recognised as a benchmark of quality and excellence in the travel and tourism industry. To be named Wales’ Best Resort Spa against stiff competition is an outstanding achievement and a testament to the hard work of all of our staff.

“We pride ourselves on putting our customers at the heart of everything we do to ensure they have a memorable experience every time they visit. These awards will inspire us to maintain our high standards so we continue to excel.”
