WSW Awards 2019 – winners announced

The winners of the World Spa & Wellness Awards 2019 were announced last week at a glittering ceremony in London.

 

Tuscan resort and spa Fonteverde was crowned worldwide Health & Wellness Destination of the year while Gaia Spa at Boringdon Hall Hotel was named Hotel Spa of the year: Western Europe & Scandinavia.

 

In North and South America, Hotel Spa of the year went to Remède Spa at The St. Regis Aspen Resort and in the Middle East and Africa category, Nikki Spa at the Nikki Beach Resort in Dubai came out top. In Asia and Australasia, the winner was The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto. Finally in Eastern Europe, Hotel Spa of the year went to Soma Spa, Domes Noruz in Thessaloniki, Greece.

 

In the Resort Spa of the year category, SE SPA, Grand Velas Riviera Maya won for North and South America, Four Seasons Resort in the Seychelles won for the Middle East and Africa, Crown Spa in Perth won for Asia and Australasia and Soma Spa at Domes of Elounda in Crete won for Eastern Europe.

 

Closer to home, Thermal Spa; Tamina Therme at Grand Resort Bad Ragaz in Switzerland won the title for Western Europe & Scandinavia

 

The Professional Beauty 2019 winners were also announced. Find out which UK salons, spas and beauty professionals were crowned.

 

Also announced on 24th February were the winners of the Professional Beauty awards.

 

Day Spa of the year went to Eden Hall Day Spa in Newark and PURE Spa and Beauty was named employer of the year.

 

Large Beauty Salon of the year went to the Potting Shed Spa in West Yorkshire and Boutique Beauty Salon to the Secret Spa. The winner of Residential Spa of the year with 10 rooms or fewer was The Spa at Corick House Hotel in Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland and Residential Spa of the year with 11 rooms or more was awarded to Kohler Waters Spa at the Old Course Hotel in St Andrews.
